Jeannine Spooner Kitzhaber is an artist and educator from the Twin Cities. Kitzhaber earned a BFA and an MFA in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she also studied art history and English. In 2013, Kitzhaber was awarded a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant to create 10-12 new artworks about physical and intangible maps.
Kitzhaber has been a professional artist for over 20 years, exhibiting her work in regional, national and international venues. In addition, she ha received grant for travel, mentorship and course redesign at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where she teaches Painting, Drawing, Design, Senior Seminar and Thesis Exhibition classes. An award winning artist, Kitzhaber creates her artwork out of Studio 370 in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis.
