Are you ready for an Art Attack? The Northrup King Building's highly anticipated fall open studio event showcases four floors of amazing art and gifts that will attack all your senses – in a good way! Meet the artists, find a unique treasure, get your shopping done, or try your hand at an interactive art activity – all featured at our beautiful and historic arts building. Three days full of fun, color and inspiration! Rawr, it's Art Attack!

Bracelet Mini Workshop & Plant Trellis Mini Workshop

Visit AlisonWendy Designs studio for a bracelet mini workshop (brass $32.00 silver $42.00). Make a classic cuff bracelet from start to finish. Hammer, file and stamp your heart out and walk out with a beautiful handmade piece of art.

Plant trellis making $18.00. Bend, shape and twist your piece of metal to make a sweet trellis for your plant friends, add a words of affirmation charm for $5.00, stamp your own or choose from a premade charm.

Custom bracelet stamping $10.00. Pick from an already made bracelet and I’ll stamp your phrase or mantra on it.

Make your own clay magnet to take home! Sit down for 15-30 minutes to create your very own clay magnet or small figure to take home and love! Anjee has made photo instruction sheets to guide you. You’ll leave your project with Anjee to bake and glaze then come back in 30 mins (or until end of event) to pick it up!

Collage is a playful way to explore creativity. It can be used as a sketch for paintings, or as a finishing composition. This demo will explore techniques for creating paper, and prints for collage. Exploring color palettes to create harmony and balance.Layering images to create something new.

Indigo Dyeing & Handmade Natural Inks and Watercolor Demonstration

Learn about the fundamentals of how an Indigo Dye Vat is made with a live demonstration of dyeing with creative surface designs, see how watercolors with indigo and other natural pigments are made or try your hand at playing with plant-based inks.

The Rice County Indigo Collective is a group of artists, artisans and crafters who create color for their work with home grown Japanese indigo (Persicaria tinctoria) that they helped grow.  It Starts with a Tiny Seed showcases a variety of techniques and applications of natural dyes.  Artworks by Cheryl Ramette, Emily Donovan, Judith Julig, Judy Saye-Willis, Kay Buxton, Leslie Hall, Sarah Nassif and Tom Willis will be on view:
