After a career as a psychotherapist, I began a new career combining my love of nature with painting and with beautiful fabrics.  I began by learning the skills needed to accurately paint with watercolors botanical specimens.  Expanding to painting on silk was and remains a pleasure and challenge.  Painting on silk with a special dye is much more complicated and exacting than watercolors.  The results are worth the effort.  Silk provides a glorious base that lets the dyes shimmer and glow resulting in colors that are vibrant and enchanting mirroring flowers at their finest.
