Artist Statement ofTom Dimock:

My work is influenced by the French and Russian Impressionists and Delacroix as well as with roots in Modern Art of Matisse, and influences by Robert Henri and Frank Vincent DuMond. I am an Impressionist & an Abstract artist. I explore new ideas, methods and points of view with a basic abstract foundation capturing light and space.

Biography:

Tom Dimock was born in Omaha, the first of ten children. Prior service in the Navy finished, he received his BFA from the Art Center in Pasadena and an MFA in Design from the University of Minnesota. He works as an illustrator and graphic designer while continue fine art career. He is best known for painting en plein air and studio work with diverse themes.
