Walia Hasan is a Minnesota based fiber and textile artist focusing on wearable art.
Walia’s inspiration comes from beauty of poetry, calligraphy, and the gentle elegance of botanical forms. These influences give her a modern approach carrying stories of culture, language, and nature.
Her primary medium is silk, paired with non-toxic dyes selected for their ability to produce vibrant, luminous colors. These dyes flow across fabric in ways that traditional paints cannot, resulting in dynamic, expressive pieces that highlight the qualities of both the material and the medium.
While mostly she Offer ready-to-wear pieces, the collaborative process of creating custom works is joyful. These projects allow her to tailor each piece to reflect the personal stories and connections of those she works with, ensuring that each work is meaningful and unique.
Open Studio Saturdays and by appointment Monday to Thursday
