Shana Kaplow is a painter and video maker. Kaplow envisions the genre of portraiture as an exploration of social continuums. She recently exhibited new paintings at Franklin Art Works in Minneapolis. Other exhibitions include the Katherine Nash Gallery (U of M), The Minneapolis Foundation, and Weinstein Gallery. Her video work has been included in the Walker Art Center’s Women With Vision Film Festival. She has received many fellowships including the Minnesota State Arts Board, the McKnight Foundation, the Arts Midwest/NEA, and the Bush Foundation. Shana is an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at St. Cloud State University.
