I was born in Tehran Iran, and emigrated to Minnesota in 1984. I graduated with honors from Augsburg College with a BA in Studio Arts and Biology. I went on to the University of Minnesota’s School of Architecture where I received my Masters of Architecture and won an award for my graduate thesis.
I first began to paint in college. After finishing my graduate program, I worked for several years as a graphic designer at the University of Minnesota. I left that job to raise my children, but when they grew older I took up painting again. After encountering an encouraging amount of success with my art, I opened up a studio in the NE Minneapolis Arts District.
My paintings often features familiar sights such as children, fauna and flora in whimsical and semi-abstract settings rendered in vibrant colors painted on canvas and wood.Studio Number: 203
