Jennifer works in porcelain clay, using the potter’s wheel as the centering point to create ceramic artwork, which vacillates between seductively subtle feminine forms and anything floral. Notions of fragility and questions of preciousness resonate through many of her pieces. Feeling out people’s varying comfortability in viewing and handling ceramic artwork, she succeeds at pulling the viewer in; tempting them with exceedingly thin edges, reaching up through lovely pooling glazes, eventually blooming into beautiful forms, both feminine and floral. Loosely related, she also harbors a unique obsession with whiskers (certified cruelty free) as components of her ceramic sculptures.
