Other Mediums: None

Edward Holmberg is a lifelong artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy as well as at MCAD where he taught. Inspired by Georgia O’Keefe, he paints large-scale, highly dramatic flowers in watercolor, acrylic and pastel, in sizes up to 3 × 4 feet. His work is filled with texture, movement and energy. Colors range from subtle neutrals to bold primaries. He loves white flowers, but also parrot tulips, orchids, peopnies, iris, daisies, ranunculuses, and sunflowers. Many of his paintings have the colorations of the southwest and the sunsets of Santa Fe.

His works are in collections from Palm Desert to New York to Naples, Florida. He has had five one-man shows. You can view more than forty paintings on his website.
