Duane Ditty paints large abstractions which are minimalist or reductive in substance. He has been painting since the late seventies, but it has only been since the year 2000 that he started to put the main thrust of his time and focus into his art. Aware of how busy life can be, he wanted more focus, a sense of starting something, thinking it through, and completing it. Painting provides this for him and he believes the people who see his work get this out of viewing it. A sense of time, process and thought.
