Diane is primarily a painter of landscapes. She creates oil sketches and field studies on location that she later works up into larger studio works. As a plein-aire painter, Diane has to work fast to capture the placement of shadows before the light changes. Diane feels there’s no substitute for being in front of nature. Painting from photos just doesn’t cut it. Working from nature engages all the senses and that passion translates into the very painting itself. Diane has exhibited in many juried shows and received numerous awards for her work.
